Did you miss him? Admit it, you missed him.

The demon that terrorized Gravity Falls is back from the great beyond to finally tell his side of the story in The Book of Bill, written by none other than Bill Cipher himself.

Inside, Bill sheds light on his bizarre origins, his sinister effects on human history, the Pines family’s most embarrassing secrets, and the key to overthrowing the world (laid out in a handy step-by-step guide). This chaotic and beautifully illustrated tome contains baffling riddles, uncrackable ciphers, lost Journal 3 pages, ways to cheat death, the meaning of life, and a whole chapter on Silly Straws. But most importantly, The Book of Bill is deeply, deeply cursed.

Alex Hirsch, #1 New York Times bestselling author, resuscitates this infamous villain and invites fans to a Bill’s eye view of the Gravity Falls universe. There are many who believe this book is too dangerous for human hands. But if you can’t resist, just know this: Once you make a deal with Bill, it’s not so easily undone . . .

Editorial reviews

“I thought I liked things that were weird, but I was wrong. This book was too weird for me. I feel nauseous just thinking about the horrifying psychosis contained within. I’m legally changing my name to ‘Normal Al’ now and pushing all my Hawaiian shirts out to sea on a barge. Avoid this book at all costs!!” —“Weird Al” Yankovic

“I found this arcane volume in a musty aisle at the most accursed of libraries. Nightly visitations by foul spirits commenced almost immediately. It has infected my mind and my dreams, and it will destroy your sanity. For all that is good and holy—stay away from it, and whatever you do, do not read it.” —Guillermo del Toro

“Look, I hate to disagree with Guillermo and Normal Al, but I love this thing! Ever since I read it, I keep hearing this screaming in my brain that won’t stop! I’m buying a copy for everyone I know! We love Bill! We love Bill! We love Bill!” —Charlie Day

I am having a wonderful time reading through this, however for some reason when I try to put it down I get this really awful dread that something bad is going to happen. Does anyone else get this? Besides that, and the fact that when I store it near other books their pages get funny, It’s a really great read. super interesting, informative, and thrilling. Lots of art too! If you like Gravity Falls, this is for you— and the cover is awesome. I can’t wait to finish it for the 4th time and hopefully be able to set it down so I can display it with my other favorite books! Wish me luck!

Would give a victorian child a heart attack

This book came in perfect condition, which is weird since the outside of box it came in was soaked and burnt with the inside covered in scratches. All jokes aside, the book is surprisingly funny and darker than I expected. I was honestly skeptical on how Bill could be adapted to book form, but I was wrong. It's colorful, loud, and perfectly encapsulates the character.

Since I saw some parents on other sites wondering what the 'older reader' label is referring to, the author mentioned that disney made him add it and as someone whose mom thought deadpool was a kid-friendly superhero movie because it was on Disney+, even though it is rated R, I understand why. The book contains many references to blood and death, but in a joking manor. In my opinion, the book seems geared to preteens and could see my middle and early high school self absolutely worshipping this book, but every kid is different. If your kid was fine watching all of the series, especially the Northwest Mansion Mystery, I would say the book is appropriate for them.

Also Pro tip, Disney music released Gravity Falls lofi and it really made me feel super immersed in the book. I would highly recommend having on it in the background while reading ;)
