The Casanova (The Miles High Club, 3)

4.6 out of 5

60,238 global ratings

In T L Swan’s steamy third installment of the Miles High Club, Kate’s hot new pen pal is a welcome distraction from her horrible boss. But nobody is as distracting as Elliot Miles…and he knows it.

My favorite hobby is infuriating Elliot Miles. Just the sight of my boss’s handsome face triggers my sarcasm. God knows how he earns his Casanova reputation―if a million women want him with his personality, what the heck am I doing wrong?

Disgusted with my love life, I join a dating app under a fake name. I start chatting to a man named Edgar. He’s not my type and lives on the other side of the world, but we hit off a friendship, laugh and confide in each other.

But lately things are getting weird at work. Elliot’s being…attentive. His eyes linger a little longer than they should, and there’s a heat behind them that I haven’t felt before. And then, in the shock of all shocks, he tells me that my vulnerability is appealing. But when was I vulnerable?

Horror dawns…Has my boss been reading my emails to Edgar?

Damn it, why did I use my work email?

Oh no, does he know what I really think of him? I’d rather die than ever admit it.

Or, even worse: is it possible that the man I loathe in real life is the man I’m falling for online?

I guess it's true that the line between love and hate is very thin, this story proves it. I really enjoyed it, especially the animal scenes, frigging hilarious!! Again I laughed out loud and scared my poor cats! These 4 brothers are really kinda messed up but I'm happy this love story worked out, I didn't think it would and then the twist in the plot towards the end was a shocker and I'm glad the guys went through with the punishment for her, she deserved it and Kate is maybe to soft hearted for it but she shows her strength and strong character towards it. I'm trying to word this so not to spoil the ending! Another great book, though by reading most of TL Swans books I now know when to expect it to fall apart before it gets fixed, though I wouldn't want the HEA to go away, I read for entertainment and I don't want to be crying at the end, lol. I recommend reading this book from the 1st book on in the series though each one is excellent in its own right.

Wow! I didn’t expect this book (or any other’s in contemporary romance) to surprise me. We all know there is a basic formula for writing them and not very many do much more besides change the names or add a baby. This one threw me a curve. It still had romance, it still had “bad guys” and it still had a beautiful girl and a rich guy with abs. I love all of those things. But they are best when the author comes up with new and different ideas. I enjoyed all be parts of this and now I’m sorry that I read day and night because now I’m done with it and I don’t want to be. It’s a pretty darn good book. I hope you enjoy it too.

Omg! At first I thought the book moved slow. But when it took off….it took off!! They are such a great couple. These two are flawed, sexy as well as sweet. And their chemistry is hot hot hot. But what I love about this book is the rollercoaster of emotions this author takes you through. Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out….NOPE another twist!!! This 3rd book Is sexy, thoughtful and so damn funny. I also love how we get updates on the Miles Brothers!

Laughed so hard I cried

I felt like the first part of the book was a bit choppy, and the "dm" parts were hard to follow as there was no clear distinction between which character was messaging between the two. That said....I really did laugh and laugh and laugh while reading this one. So many zingers and one-liners and hilarious scenes played out to keep me thoroughly entertained in this book. Plus, of course the high SPICE levels. keep a fan handy

The story follows the 3rd 'Miles Media' brother, Elliott, and his love interest, Kate, and the build-up and eventual climactic crash, and of course, they're HEA ending.

The whole serious has been an absolute delight to read but I think this one is going to be my favorite.

More fun than it had any right to be!!!

After a mildly disappointing book 1 (Jameson's story) and then a surprisingly amazing book 2 (Tristan's story), I didn't know what to expect here and I was kinda scared. I was so so so unexpectedley wildy shocked at how much I enjoyed this. First of all, I'm usually the first one to shout "YOU'RE ADULTS! STOP DANCING AROUND IT AND JUMP INTO BED ALREADY!!!" but this was probably the first romance I've ever read - EVER - where I revelled in the details and the sort of slow burn that was required before I was OK with these two moving their relationship forward.

I talked to Kate throughout. I don't usually conversate with my FMCs. She was a good one, relateable AF, smart, even-headed. Every time she did or said anything and I thought to myself "hold on, girl, don't get ahead of yourself" she would inner monologue all the reasons she needed to think and be rationale and I freaking loved that! Like, author and I were on the same page!

I started out not loving Elliot because he was a hot-head and I still maintain he was fostering a bit of a toxic work environment and also... can someone from the UK tell me if there are reprecussions for workplace relationships?? Especially between a boss and employee?? Because the fact that either of them ever pursued the other was... I kept waiting for some HR-related catastrophe... Side note, ignore it.

ANYWAY, he got better. I mean, I could have taken a bit more of his groveling, maybe one workplace sensitivity training, but, no one's perfect, right?

It started out well, it was low on tropes (like I was waiting for sh!t to hit the fan at a bunch of typical places and it was more realistic in some places and more wildly out of left field in others), it was actually quite unique and unexpected, and it made me laugh A LOT! The frickin' twist was flippin' twisty!! This book was entertaining AF!! I remember in book 2 I was shocked at the multi-dimensionality of the MCs, and that trend continues here. I really want to tell everyone about this book! It was funny, it was dirty, it was well-written... It was great, ya'll!

This is my first book by this author.

Just a taste 🗣

Kathryn works in the IT dept in the London office and absolutely despises her boss, Elliott. Elliott has to keep his relationship with Kathryn professional since they work together even though he's not a huge fan of her and he knows she despises him until one day when that all changes......

My Thoughts 💭

WHY HAVE I WAITED SO LONG TO READ THIS BOOK?? WHY HAVE I WAITED SO LONG TO READ TL SWAN????? 🤯🤯🤯🤯 I usually steer clear of overly hyped up books on booktok but this book deserves all the hype that is out there 👏👏👏👏👏 this book has sent me straight into a book hangover. I love/hate that! I hate knowing I can't move on from this book but knowing the book was that good just makes me so happy because a book that sends you into a book hangover was so worth it.

This book was funny, witty, angsty, sad and at times so maddening and I loved every single second I read it.

🎧THIS WAS ALSO MY FIRST EVER AUDIOBOOK!!! I am also so shocked that I waited so long to try audiobooks but I am so glad I was able to have this opportunity as this audiobook was also available on KU! I absolutely loved the narrators and I will forever be changed by this book and audiobook 🩷

If you haven't read TL Swan, do it because she is on a whole new world.

I really liked how the brothers all get along in the story and have a fun time together and how love ends up at the end of each one of these books. I have to really be careful how I read these because of all the f-bombs in them. I think they would be much better written without all of those F words it just is very degrading to read them and the fact that the author thought that that was important to put that foul language in their is Despicable

Heavy and surprising

In the beginning, the romantic hero is a mean, conceited, arrogant a...jerk. He has known the heroine for seven years and hated her until...he sees her in beautiful clothes with hair and makeup done. He is apparently also really shallow. I wanted her to reject him. He doesn't deserve her. Clothes and hair don't make the woman. But, with truly remarkable storytelling, the author finds humanity in this slimy man and the heroine falls for him. The reader does a little bit, too. Don't get me started on the ducks and goats! This was a surprisingly fun and heartwarming read with a surprising twist.
