Krista and Becca Ritchie are my all-time favorite romance authors, and I consumed this book in two greedy sittings, never wanting it to end!

Dishonestly Yours is quintessential KBR: the intricate, complicated, enriching found-family bonds, the fierce, spicy, intense soul-mate love, the devastating, tear-inducing angst, the OMG, jaw-on-the-floor plot twists--all of what I've come to expect, they delivered.

This book is bombastic, a Fourth of July firework. A high dive into a cold pool on a hot summer's day. The glitz and wealth contrasted perfectly with the gritty and harrowing con lifestyle, and it was all so addicting to read and so refreshing. I already love these characters dearly, and I can't wait to see where they all go next. The plot twists at the end of this one...Whoa. I don't know how I'm going to be able to wait a year. It's going to be torture! I need more! Now!

If the goal of Dishonestly Yours was to set up the characters and the idyllic, coastal Connecticut setting, then book two is surely going to swipe all of the chess pieces onto the floor. I expect (and crave) even more fireworks, even more love, and even more surprises.

If you love the Addicted series and the Like Us series, you're going to adore this brand new world. But if you haven't ever read Krista and Becca Ritchie before, Dishonestly Yours is a great place to start. This book is dramatic and dark and daring--it is everything you could want to read while sipping cocktails by the ocean. I already can't wait to reread it.

I love every single book that Krista and Becca have written and this book was no exception! The angst and slow burn between Phoebe and Rocky was great! I loved their dynamic and can’t wait for more of them in the next book. I’m so glad this is just the beginning of these two and there’s two more books coming in the series that stay with these characters. The side characters were also amazing! I already love them, and can't wait to get to know them more. There were also so many good plot points that I can’t wait to learn more about in book 2! This book really was a great combination of an amazing romance, small town vibes, some mystery, and family/found family. I definitely highly recommend reading this book if you haven’t already!!

This book is gripping! The story is incredibly compelling, and I was utterly absorbed in it. I was captivated by the mystery and suspense. I adored the dynamic between the con artists Phoebe and Rocky. Their tension, angst, and passionate desire drew me in! The spice was about medium for me, but I enjoyed it. The heartwarming friendship between Phoebe and Haley never failed to make me smile. Their unwavering support for each other is truly inspiring. Their brothers are just as remarkable, but they are also con artists. Nonetheless, the exceptional teamwork and love among them is truly commendable.

The character Jake intrigued me. I felt like there was something off about him, and I needed to know his backstory, too. The ending genuinely shocked me. It left loose ends yet held significant depth. I can't wait for the next book to see what comes next and to uncover the truth alongside the characters. That's exactly how I felt while reading it.

This is the book of the summer, of the year, of my life. I never want to come down from the high that is Rocky & Phoebe.

This is summertime in a book to me. Maybe it was the nostalgic feeling of reading a KBR book for the first time or maybe it was the waitressing at a country club reminding me of HSM2, maybe it was the coastal town, maybe it was two besties, extreme found family, or maybe just the little things, but this book felt so nostalgic for me. It felt like coming home.

In a world where every romance book is exactly the same, leave it to Krista & Becca to give us something completely fresh and new. Something like you've never read before. Something with everything you know and love (fixing her ponytail, "forced" proximity, childhood friends to lovers, best friend's brother, grumpy x grumpy) but with a twist, with edge, with a breath of fresh air.

As a MASSIVE Addicted/Calloway sisters fan, this book truly did not disappoint. This book was SO fun to me. & I likely will never shut up about it.

P.S. ROCKY TINROCK?!?!?!? think about Ryke Meadows + Connor Cobalt + Loren Hale and THAT'S our Rocky. well....Phoebe's Rocky.

This is my first K.B. Ritchie book outside of the Addicted world and I was not disappointed. This romance was fun, angsty, and filled with tension. Phoebe and Rocky were such fun characters to get to know and I can't wait to get more of them and their families! If you loved Heist Society by Ally Carter but want spice, this is the book for you!

I loved the flashback chapters to past cons. I really hope we get to see some flashbacks from Rocky's POV in the next book though. Seeing the cons play out rather just having the characters talk about them was a great way to get a feel for both family's dynamics as well as learn how these cons actually work.

I can't wait for the next book to come out! I'm excited to see more of the interaction with the parents and possibly learn more about Phoebe's dad.

4/5 ⭐ one of my most anticipated reads of 2024, and it did not disappoint! the preface of this story was so interesting to me and like nothing i've read before! as always, the writing style was super engaging and i was hooked from the start. i was always itching to read what came next. i couldn't put this down once i started it!

i will forever read anything that krista and becca ritchie write. their stories and worlds never fail to disappoint me. nothing will ever be able to top the core six for me, but these characters were super enjoyable and i can't wait to see what comes next! the second half of this book is really what drew me in and i can't believe that cliffhanger! impatiently waiting for the second book 🤭

OH MY GOODNESS. KRISTA AND BECCA!! This book was so good. So so good. I was hooked from the start.

You could just feel the tension between Phoebe and Rocky. The angst. I love Phoebe and Hailey’s friendship—they are the definition of found family. And Rocky… cue Britney Spears “Mama, I’m in love with a criminal” He’s perfection if I’ve ever read one. I loved the subtle crossover details from the Addicted/Calloway Sisters series. Let’s talk about the cliffhanger! WHAT WAS THAT?! I need the next book like tomorrow, pronto, asap. I need to see how this unfolds!

Overall, wonderful book. So well written and super bingeable. It’s hard to stop reading once you start.

This was actually my first Krista & Becca Ritchie book and I was so excited when I got my hands on it!

I absolutely loved the con artist plot and how it was mostly set in present day but we were able to get a few flashbacks of previous cons and how that shaped certain emotions and thoughts in the present.

The second half of the book is what really sold me. I was drawn into the plot line, the relationships (real and fake), and was feeling the suspense. The cliffhanger had me frustrated in the best way possible because I just wanted to keep reading!! I’ll be looking out for announcements on the next book because I NEED to know what happens next

Phoebe and Hailey want to try living a normal honestly life but, that mean no lying, no deception. Can they do it? Seem easy enough till Hailey brother Rocky decide he coming too. Can these con artists truly live a normal life? Or will they backslide into their old ways finding their way in a wealthy coastal town.

High Angst Best Friend Brother Grumpy / Grumpy

This was such a great start to the series. You’ll be invested in these characters, their lives, and relationships. It start off slow but definitely pick up second half of the book. I’m interested to see how their dynamic will play out in the next book.
