The extraordinary new thriller from the Queen of Suspense and global bestseller, Mary Higgins Clark.

Eighteen-year-old Kerry Dowling is found fully dressed at the bottom of the family pool. She threw a party the night before, while her parents were away; her house was full of people. But no one saw anything.

The police immediately suspect her boyfriend, with whom she had a bitter argument at the party. But other people had a grudge against Kerry, too, including her twenty-year-old neighbour. Everyone knows he wanted to come to the party. Everyone knows how angry he was that Kerry didn't invite him.

As the police flail about for answers, Kerry’s older sister Aline decides to take matters into her own hands. But by trying to solve her sister's murder, Aline may be putting her own life in danger...

This book kept me entertained for the couple of day’s it took me to read it. I’m not one of those people who can “read the whole book in one sitting, but I would have if I could. Easy to read, easy to follow and a very well planned. Almost anyone can read it and enjoy it?

What a great read. Lots of twist and turns. One minute you are sure who killed Kerry but by the next chapter you’ve changed your mind. Recommend to anyone who loves mysteries.

Reads easily. I like her characters plot is easy to follow and I don't have a headache when I stop reading. Holds my interest enough that I keep it close so I can pick it up when I get a few minutes.

Who done it?

Just as I started reading this, my daughter, a down syndrome child of thirty-eight, was caught by cameras swimming alone in our neighbor's pool while they were not home. A neighbor child saw me outside and asked me if I was looking for her and then told me where she was. I took her home and was so nervous that she wasn't a good swimmer and any thing could have happened. I was angry with her but I understood that all the neighbor children were using the pool and she was not invited. About 20 min later a policeman was at our door asking to see her and then another showed up, then two more squad cars came, lining up half our block. They had spoken to the.owners and were aware of the disability so they spoke very gently to her, but in the end gave her a warning for unlawful trespassing. I hope they told the neighbor to lock their doors and their gate. I sympathize d with the mother and boy, knowing anything could be construed to be.harmful for them. It is not fun.

easily read mediocre novel

Obvious plot taken from Kennedy cousin who killed his neighbor with a golf club. I have to read more novels from Higgins Clark to really form an honest opinion. Writing was pretty good with some of shortest chapters I’ve ever experienced in a novel.

I guess I didn't see that this was not a hard cover book

I have several Mary Higgens Clark hardcover books. I guess I didn't see that this was not a hardcover book. This will be hard to read because the words are so small.
