My Temptation (Kingston Lane)

I feel so lucky that as a reader I get to indulge in TL Swan's books. I've read almost all of them, and they are all wildly different and never fail to grab me by the emotions. Not once did I read one and think, this is similar to that other book she wrote. She is so talented!! There is only one thing that I noticed as an American, she occasionally uses British/Australian Idioms or slang, which would normally briefly take me out of the story, but Author Swan is so good that I'm able to roll over them. Its because I'm so riveted over the story! She has also made side characters who are would be called douche-bros in any other story 100% compelling! Characters I'm hoping will have their own books so we get more about them. Epilogue was brilliant as well.

I’ve read a lot of books. I’ve read a lot of romances. But this one just got me. It is dysfunctional at its worst and romantic at its best. And so relatable to “normal relationships “… at least the ones I’ve seen. I loved Henley and Juliette. They were the couple I was rooting for and glad they worked out at the end. I honestly just got through with it and want to read it again, right now. I think I will.

This was a great read, love the characters and supporting cast. That's the one thing I love about this author, Swan creates a great friendship, banter is never disappointing. I would have loved to give this a 5 but the ending was so abrupt. Like Jenny through herself at him after being so mean to his girl after his father died, threatening to call security on her if she didn't leave. He realizes I need to be home to her and that was it. No apologies to her and they live happily ever after. Nah, he did her wrong and needed to apologized. Overall, great read, can't wait to read the next one.
