Freida McFadden’s “Never Lie” is a psychological thriller that ensnares the reader in an intricate web of suspense and unexpected turns. The story of Ethan and Patricia, newlyweds caught in a snowstorm at a house with a dark past, is as addictive as it is chilling. McFadden masterfully crafts a narrative that is both a puzzle and a revelation, leading us through the shadowy corridors of the human psyche with a deft hand.

The twists involving Ethan and Patricia are particularly striking, catching me off guard and proving that McFadden is a maestro of the genre. Each revelation is like a piece of a jigsaw falling into place, yet the picture they form is one you could never predict. The depth of the characters, coupled with the relentless pace of the story, makes “Never Lie” a book that is impossible to put down.

McFadden’s writing is sharp and incisive, with clarity that makes the complex tale accessible and engaging. The psychological elements are not just for show; they are the very heart of this thriller, pumping life into every page and turning what could have been a simple story into a profound exploration of truth and illusion.

In “Never Lie,” McFadden has proven once again why she is a revered name in the world of psychological thrillers. This book is a testament to her ability to weave a tale that is as intellectually stimulating as it is emotionally gripping. For anyone looking for a book that will keep them up at night, eager to see what lies on the next page, “Never Lie” is a must-read.

I like the four books by this author because I didn’t get tired of them part way through. There’s twists and turns you never figure out or if you get an idea about it you never are quite sure! Best of all, I prefer Christian books I know are free of obscenities and steamy scenes, while this book is not one of those, it is clean 98% of the time. No sex scenes- it leaves you to your imagination. As far as language in her four books I’ve read I think maybe I’ve come across the F word four times. Don’t remember any other swear words. I’d like the books just as well without the F words, but I’d still highly recommend these. I will continue reading her books, they are so good! She’s a great author!

I am really enjoying Freida McFadden’s stories. I have read several now! Never Lie, I believe, is my favorite so far. After reading a couple of her books, you know there will be an interesting twist, or coincidence, so it is great fun to try and figure it out before she reveals it! She has tricked me so far! Enjoy!

Very good thriller

This was my first time reading a book from this author and I will definitely want to read her other books in the future. Never Lie was such an easy story to get sucked into. Warning: It makes you lose track of time. Completely engrossing, the characters are very interesting and nothing is as you expect it to be. I certainly didn't expect the ending. A few plot twists are more easy to guess at than others (that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5). Luckily this author is skilled at having more tricks up her sleeve than you would expect. I would recommend this book.

Not expecting any of the twists

Honestly, I was very interested in the beginning especially the parts with Adrienne, however, I slowed down a lot from reading. Not sure why I guess I was disappointed in “The Teacher” and didn’t want this book to be the same. I was worried I was predicting right when it came to the twists(which would bring my rating down and have it on par with The Teacher) cause when it comes to Freida McFadden, there’s a couple unexpected twists. Thankfully, it was better than i expected but I think Freida’s stronger books are “The Locked Door” and “The Housemaid”. I would recommend it if someone wanted to read more of her books but it’s not my favorite.
