The Next Mrs. Parrish: A Novel

The latest installment in the Mrs. Parrish series has exceeded all my expectations. After the first novel fell into my lap and completely blew my mind, I eagerly awaited this sequel, and it did not disappoint. This book was everything and so much more.

The narrative seamlessly provided closure and tied up loose ends from the previous story, yet it still left the plot deliciously open, making me wonder how Amber will navigate her way out of the new mess she finds herself in. The anticipation of what comes next is thrilling because somehow, you just know she will find a way. The story introduces an entirely new canvas of characters, each more intriguing than the last.

This novel is a masterclass in suspense and character development. It's a perfect balance of resolution and anticipation, ensuring that fans of the series remain hooked and eagerly awaiting the next chapter in Amber's tumultuous journey. If you loved the first book, this sequel is an absolute must-read.

The Next Mrs. Parrish by Liv Constantine 5/5 ⭐️

I absolutely loved The Last Mrs. Parrish, so I was thrilled to hear about the sequel, The Next Mrs. Parrish. The story continued with Amber, Daphne and Jackson, and it was quite a thrilling ride. My feelings towards Amber are conflicted – she adds an electrifying element to the plot but her character is undeniably evil. On the other hand, Daphane is a strong and admirable female character, willing to do anything for her children. Her unconditional love for her daughters is truly unwavering. As for Jackson, he could have stayed in jail. The female characters make this book exceptional.

Let’s not forget the new characters. I loved the Daisy Ann! She added such an interesting twist to the game of cat-and-mouse. The fast-paced nature of this book was a contrast to the slow burn of the first one. As for the ending, it left me feeling satisfied, yet yearning for a little bit more. Could there possibly be a third book in the works? I daresay, I liked The Next Mrs. Parrish even more than the first book.

Today I finished reading the sequel book, The Next Mrs. Parish by the Constantine sisters known as Liv Constantine. It was a terrific read with the same characters from book 1-The Last Mrs. Parish, plus some new characters. It was a fantastic beach read full of plot twists and turns for all the characters. I greatly enjoyed it and was pulled into the plot pretty quickly. You don’t have to read the first one to enjoy this sequel, but the first one was fantastic-so I highly recommend reading them both. 💜📚

If you read The Last Mrs. Parrish, this will answer a lot of questions and it’s a satisfying ending. Daphne and Amber are both in the picture, as are of course Jackson and all the children. Amber’s past comes back to haunt her in the most shocking way and let’s just say karma plays a big role. There’s a lot of Amber we don’t know until this book and she’s very much like Jackson, but there cannot be two alphas in a marriage but there can be a lot of mutual scheming and planning. Jackson certainly met his match. Daphne has found herself living a great life with her girls and her mom. Everything thing seems to be going well for her except for the fact that one of her daughters wants to spend time with Jackson. That’s where things get real, and Daphne has to learn to play dirty or the dynamic duo of Jackson and Amber will destroy her. Once again Live Constantine keeps me on edge and with her unexpected twists and turns and I am rooting for Daphne all the way.

THE NEXT MRS. PARRISH is the third installment in Liv Constantine’s bestselling series. I recommend you start at the beginning with THE LAST MRS. PARRISH and you could probably skip the prequel that’s all about Amber’s backstory. But why would you want to?

It’s all good fun!

It seemed from our last time with the Parrish wives that Amber had won, well kind of. She got the man and the house and the fancy gowns and even fancier places to go in them. But we all know who the real winner was.

Left wondering if Daphne would ever get her revenge and this book, THE NEXT MRS. PARRISH is as close to that as we’re going to get, for now.

Seven years later and I still like the original installment in this series the best. I have a lot of fun with these characters and this series is one of my favorites. I can never guess where Constantine is going to go with her storylines, and I enjoy the mystery as much as I enjoy the intrigue.

Bringing a new character to the group was a great way to keep the original parts of the story while introducing a new character to bring in new life. And give us someone else to either align with or root against. Similar to bringing in a new housewife on Bravo’s Real Housewives series, bringing in a new character also provides a plethora of new dynamics to work with.

I liked this installment and had a lot of fun with it.
