That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Human (Mead Mishaps, 3)

Before we start, you should know, the title is wrong, he gets High, not drunk, and also, pretty sure he would have done it anyways, lol.

So, I gotta say, if this is the end to this series, what a way to go. I nearly squeeled with excitement when I found out who this heroine was and boy was I not disappointed. I adore Dante, though not as much as Fallon (our first smexy rakish rogue) and especially enjoyed his hair, which satisfied many of my anime fantasies, for now 😉. Their adventure wasn't huge, and it was more of getting to know each other and trusting one another than anything, but I will always adore the characters' shenanigans in these books above all else, like how the fmc accidentally encouraged several males to add themselves to her bestiary 🤭. Another thing I love is how the gals in this book curse. It always seems to be something in relationship to their profession which made me grin constantly. Reminded me of Judy's (from Zootopia) "Sweet Cheese and Crackers!" And I just loved it. Also this story essentially has Goose in it (Marvel) but with a twist. I won't spoil it more than I already have but it's hilarious, although "Goose" doesn't seem to ever like the fmc even at the end so I don't think she gets a very happy ending, but who knows. I would absolutely adore seeing a book with The pirate captain and her Naga/Lamia. That would be a fantastic read.

I loved Dante and Cherrys story but something felt off about this one to me. Don’t get me wrong it’s still awesome 😎

It just doesn’t hit the same as the other two for me. For one, cherry got on my nerves. A lot. Her and Dante didn’t really have the connection like cinnamon and Fallon or Felix and Brie. Still a great story though.

So glad this got on Kindle Unlimited. I used credits for the first one but they kept getting better! I finished off the last 2 in a weekend. Fun plot with some truly surprising twists, great background characters and world building. I hope there are some more sequels. This last one is almost a stand alone and it might have been fun to read it first because then all the Easter eggs in this one would be fun to learn the stories of after the fact.

Ah, what a beautiful resolution!! Cinnamons sister has her own adventure- or lack thereof! And finds her own dragon. Yay! Lovely story, lovely romance, so many fantastic characters. I really enjoy that so many of the side characters are people I would love to read their own story. Even with just a scene or two I am imagining theirs could be the next book in the series. 🥰🥰

I was really excited for Dante's entry. Who could possibly be paired with this grumpy lonely dragon? Well it's definitely a surprise. The paving was a bit off. The middle felt less like an adventure and more of a series of events until the kidnapping. I think though the exploration of Dante being unsure what it takes to be a goid partner was really tender. Thank goodness he called in reinforcements because on his own he was a mess. Lots of dub con that was worked through on page which was important (to me) because I didn't want to walk away feeling like he took advantage of the circumstances. There were a lot of fun moments but like I said the pacing was off so it lost the adventure feel that I've come to love with this series.
