★★ A New York Times and WSJ Bestselling Romance ★★

She can never be his…but he’s taking her anyway.

Stoic, broody, and arrogant, elite bodyguard Rhys Larsen has two rules: 1) Protect his clients at all costs 2) Do not become emotionally involved. Ever.

He has never once been tempted to break those rules…until her.

Bridget von Ascheberg. A princess with a stubborn streak that matches his own and a hidden fire that reduces his rules to ash. She’s nothing he expected and everything he never knew he needed.

Day by day, inch by inch, she breaks down his defenses until he’s faced with a truth he can no longer deny: he swore an oath to protect her, but all he wants is to ruin her. Take her.

Because she’s his.

His princess.

His forbidden fruit.

His every depraved fantasy.

Regal, strong-willed, and bound by the chains of duty, Princess Bridget dreams of the freedom to live and love as she chooses.

But when her brother abdicates, she’s suddenly faced with the prospect of a loveless, politically expedient marriage and a throne she never wanted.

And as she navigates the intricacies—and treacheries—of her new role, she must also hide her desire for a man she can’t have.

Her bodyguard.

Her protector.

Her ultimate ruin.

Unexpected and forbidden, theirs is a love that could destroy a kingdom…and doom them both.

Twisted Games is a contemporary royal bodyguard romance. It’s book two of the Twisted series but can be read as a standalone.

Hmmm yes princess

Very cute. Easy read. Some cliche parts but damn. Who doesn’t love an overbearing a** that stalks like a panther. I really enjoyed the building of their relationship, yeah he’s the bodyguard but working like that it was bound to happen but it’s how hard they tried not to catch feelings that was cute. He saw her as she was - more than a princess and she saw him as he was. Him showing her bit and pieces of himself was so warming and then…. THEN… during that one scene (read to find out) i cried cause damn did it hurt and i was hurting for them both. It was gut wrenching. More than Ava and Alex. There was a scene, a few words that clicked into place regarding Mr. Larsen and his BG and maaaaaaaaaaaan it was a shocker and upsetting. Amazing she didn’t just have him pummel somebody. Anyway, I liked this one better than the first 😉 explicit scenes were better too.

I love it. It’s a beautiful love story between a princess and her bodyguard. Anna Huang did an amazing job at writing it, not in a typical boring princess x bodyguard way but in a typical plot twisting, wow, amazing way. I absolutely loved reading it and on the third book now! Again, it was amazing and blew my heart and mind into pieces.

Twisted Games had me TWISTED up in Rhys!

Rhys is arrogant, overprotective, and moody, yet undeniably likable. Bridget defies the stereotypical princess persona—she's beautiful, infuriatingly stubborn, clever, and intelligent, always picking the right moments to challenge Rhys and break down his defenses.

The plot begins predictably, with Rhys trying to maintain his professional distance and Bridget resisting his overprotective nature. However, as they spend more time together, their undeniable chemistry leads to a deep emotional connection. Their relationship is forbidden: Bridget must marry royalty, and Rhys, a commoner, knows he can never have her. Yet, his desire to protect her is matched only by his longing for her, no matter the consequences.

Ana Huang masterfully draws readers into Rhys and Bridget’s love story with steamy scenes, unexpected twists, and turns that make it impossible to put the book down. Without giving too much away, let’s just say Rhys will linger in your mind long after you’ve finished reading.

I highly recommend "Twisted Games" to fans of forbidden romance, royal politics, and stories that blend passion with intrigue, leaving you eagerly anticipating the next page.

So much better than the first book!

Princess Bridget has never had to worry about leading her small European country of Eldorra. She’s the spare with her older brother destined to be King. However, when Prince Nikolai suddenly abdicates the throne to marry a commoner. Bridget finds herself as heir to the throne. A position she never wanted to be in. Along with her bodyguard Rhys, she heads back home to start her training to be queen. Rhys is a former Navy Seal turned bodyguard. After Princess Bridget’s longtime beloved bodyguard steps down, he takes up the role. Unlike Bridget’s former guard, Rhys is rigid. Something she isn’t used to. The two butt heads more often than not. However, as time goes on, they find themselves falling for each other. The only problem is she’s expected to marry before her coronation and a marriage to a commoner is strictly forbidden.

I wasn’t a fan of Twisted Love, but I had heard that the second book was much better, so I decided to continue. I’m glad I did!

This gave me Princess Diaries 2 vibes but rated R. I loved Bridget in Twisted Love, and she didn’t disappoint in this one. I loved seeing her come into her own and stand up for herself. Also, I think it’s illegal to name a character Rhys without them being the perfect man. They were the cutest couple and I loved them.

This was just a fun easy read during this slump I’m currently in.

This is definitely my favorite book so far. Although, I did see that Christian is featured in the last book in the series so I am excited to get to the last book.

I feel like these 2 couples are definitely better than the first. At least in story line. The bodyguard trope is one of my favorites so that could have a little something to do with it. I loved reading Bridget’s story and the way she had to have all the curveballs that were thrown at her. And Rhys, the silent, grumpy bodyguard with such a terrible past. I’m so glad he got a happy ending. Though he was thrown his own curveball, I’m happy about the way he handled it!

Overall, this book was highly entertaining with so many twists and mysteries! A lot less predictable than the first book and I love that!

A Princess and Her Bodyguard

4.5/5 - I loved Twisted Love but I think I love Twisted Games even more. The forbidden romance, the slow burn, and the princess plot line were all things I enjoyed. The spice was hot. I liked how protective Rhys was of Bridget, but sometimes it became overbearing and annoying. I liked how Bridget grew into her role as a princess and became stronger FMC. She eventually saw it as an opportunity to makes changes instead of a burden. I also appreciated that we didn't get an unnecessary third act conflict; Instead we got a realistic challenge that they needed to overcome.

The forbidden love element

I devoured Twisted Games in a whirlwind! The forbidden romance between Princess Bridget and her bodyguard, Rhys, was electric. I loved Bridget's strong personality – she's not your typical damsel in distress. Rhys was a bit too brooding at times, but his protectiveness and the way he slowly lets his guard down for Bridget were swoon-worthy.

The plot with the sudden change in the royal line kept things interesting, and the glimpses into palace intrigue had me guessing who to trust. While the story was fast-paced and enjoyable, I did feel like some side characters could have been fleshed out more. Overall, a steamy and suspenseful romance that will leave you wanting more – definitely recommend, but with a caveat that it might leave you wishing for a deeper dive into the world. 4 out of 5 stars!

This story has a good storyline and it’s pleasant enough to be enjoyable. However, the story is a SLOW SLOW SLOW burn. I mean, it takes eons just to get to the climax. You hear me? IONS

This book could have easily been 50 pages shorter.

In my eyes, the first book set a precedent regarding the level of involvement with the other characters in the series (her friends) that this book did not meet. It was disappointing. Would have been nice to see more interactions with her friends.

Rhys and Bridget were fine enough characters but their chemistry wasn’t like Ava’s and Alex’s. Also, Rhys wasn’t really all that morally gray. He was….kind of vanilla.
