I loved this!

One of the most impactful aspects of the book is its emphasis on the balance between masculine and feminine energies. Deida eloquently discusses how these forces interact in relationships, work, and personal growth. His insights on how to channel your masculine energy in a way that is both powerful and compassionate are eye-opening. The advice goes beyond surface-level tips and delves into the deeper aspects of consciousness and spirituality.

The writing style is straightforward but poetic, making complex ideas accessible. Deida’s guidance on embracing challenges, understanding your true purpose, and engaging with the world from a place of strength is both inspiring and practical. This isn’t just a book about being a “better man” in the traditional sense—it’s about understanding and mastering yourself to contribute more meaningfully to the world around you.

Some readers may find certain ideas a bit esoteric or unconventional, but that’s part of what makes this book so unique. It’s not just about self-improvement; it’s about self-discovery on a deeper level. Whether you’re looking to improve your relationships, find your purpose, or simply understand yourself better, The Way of the Superior Man offers timeless wisdom that can benefit men of all ages.

This book is a must-read for anyone on a journey to becoming the best version of themselves, not just as a man, but as a human being. Highly recommended!

The title says it all. This book changed my life. I’m in my mid to late 20’s. I often found myself lost and longing for the woman of my dreams. I finally found her and knew I needed to change my way of thinking for myself and the future of our relationship. I can’t explain how spot on this book was for me and how I was making decisions in my life. Don’t be skeptical. Buy it, read it, change. It’s worth it. It’s the guide I knew I needed. I didn’t think I’d find it in this book but I did. LIFE CHANGING.

this might change your life on the views of masculinity and femininity...even mentions nofap and refers semen as "life energy". I already was on the semen retention path but this books confirms its power. this is a handbook for men and it will level up your life. it opened my eyes to how I treat my wife and it's very true to the happy interactions vs the frustrated interactions. you will have better relationships with women after you read this and you will have a better approach. definitely recommend.

Great Book

The Way of the Superior Man is an in-depth look at many challenges men face on a daily basis--keeping a woman happy , finding fulfillment and purpose in a career, becoming a master lover--and how to solve these challenges. It is a practical book that acts more as a reference manual based on subject, not a formal story or novel. Fifty-one chapters make seem like a lot for a book fewer than 200 pages, but each has very meaningful information. Dieda challenges men to "...evolve beyond the macho jerk ideal, all spine and no heart" and "...beyond the sensitive and caring wimp ideal, all heart and no spine." His offer for men is to unite the heart and spine to become `The Superior Man'.

There are two main themes Dieda bases the majority of his book on. First is the literal polarity and pull between the masculine and feminine poles. Like opposite end of a magnet, men have dominant poles and women are feminine poles, these traits will attract one another. When polarity is lost between a man and women, sexual desire and the relationship itself can easily cease. Second is the idea that all men have a purpose in life which must be discovered and followed. Purpose is the core of a man's life and he must never give up whatever his purpose is. These ideas are visited many times throughout the book as principals a masculine man should be aware of and follow.

This was one of the most interesting books I have ever read. Deida's has a unique writing style, using carefully chosen words and phrases very bluntly. I enjoyed his writing style although it could easily offend others. His audience is geared toward men who need advice spoken in plain English with a `hit-to-the-head-with-a-club' style. He does a fantastic job at portraying real life examples that men face with women and work, and offers simple solutions.

Pros of this book are the easy-to-read style and real world examples to relate to. Cons are the book itself does not cover all topics you need to be successful with work and women, it's not that comprehensive. However, I would recommend this book to any man who is willing to take the challenge increasing their masculinity and becoming a `Superior man with spine and heart'.

Want a Good Laugh? Buy This Book!

Wow! Let's get right to it, then, aye? Honestly? After buying this book on my son's suggestion/request, because, he told me that he's read it, and that he wanted to bounce some ideas off me about what he's read in this book, and my agreeing to purchase this book, and, at first, as I read through the preface of the 20th anniversary edition, and then read through the preface to the 2004 edition, and then the unnecessarily long introduction, groaning, and in absolute shock at the drivel I was reading, I called my son and we had a long chat, and I told him that this was going to obviously be a very painful book to read through.

No, not a painful personal journey of inner discovery, but to actually have read David Deida's drivel and gibberish. My son was admittedly, a bit upset by my initial reaction to just reading through the beginnings of this book. But, I promised him that I would force myself to read it, and let me tell you right now ... this book, in my honest opinion, is dangerous.

I have never read something with so much obscure drivel and gibberish in my life. I don't know anything about David Deida. Not one thing. Except, I almost think that he must have somehow had the title of this book pop into his head one day while he was being tortured by his "dark side", his "dark desires", and perhaps an argument with one of his many wonderful lovers (outside of his most "dedicated" relationship, of course), and I think he must have thought "Wow! The Way of the Superior Man! What an excellent title for a book! Now all I need to do is write something that fits into that title."

Just reading the title of each chapter has caused everything from deep groaning to huge belly laughs for me. I find this book incredibly boring, obvious, egotistical, arrogant, self-aggrandizing, self-important, nonsensical, idiotic, stupid, and a book that is written strictly from an externalized ego, rather from any deep and meaningful life experiences, and lacking any true spiritual insight.

I guess, if you can write a book, and then get it published, you've already won the game of making a name for yourself. Hey, whatever works, right?

OK, now that I've gotten all that out of the way ... knowing that my son, who is, like most people, working his way through this life, trying to figure things out, and be the best person he can be. Which, I am very proud of him for doing, and for being, because he really is a good person. That being said, after reading through this book that he said he read ... and, thank Goddess he called me and asked me to get this book so we could share notes, because, the last thing I want this idiotic book to do, is to screw my son up more than his perceived screwed up life already is (which it isn't ... he's just a normal guy, like so many other people ... and I'm saying people, because it isn't just "men" who are seeking the "truth" and the "meaning" of "life", women too, are doing exactly the same thing), because, in my honest opinion, I think there are far better books of channeled inspiration and spiritual guidance that don't even come close to how bad this book is.

I wouldn't recommend this book to my worst enemy. This is why I feel that I am now going to have to do my best to reverse the damage that the idiocy contained in this book has done to my son. I have to say, I read this book, and it was extremely difficult to get through, as sentence after sentence, and statement after statement had me laughing, groaning with disbelief, awestruck with disbelief at how much blither-blather, gibberish, and nonsensical Mr. Deida's ideas and thoughts are, and how so much contained in this book can do serious damage to men, most especially, younger men who are seeking their Path in Life.

Now I am going to have to try and get my son to forget everything he's read in this book of gibberish, and do some father/son bonding, which we've been doing since he was born. I am grateful though, that my son has the insight to call me weekly, so that we can have conversations about things like this. I'm fairly certain, that I can guide him away from The Way of the "Superior???" Man, and move him back in the direction of just being the normal human being that he is.

  1. If you need a good laugh, or material for your stand up routine, then get this book.

  2. If you want to screw up your life more than you already perceive it to be, then get this book.

  3. If you're living a life like everyone else, and you know that you have problems, because, we all do, no matter if you're a man or a woman, and you're always seeking to remain as best you can, on The Path, then do NOT buy this book. You don't need it. There are far more books out there that really can help you. Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to share any titles with you in this review. But, this book is definitely not in that list. And, if you have this book in your collection, I would highly recommend that you do not give it away to anyone, or donate it to any organization or library, but, instead, toss it in the rubbish bin.
