Power, money, and dark family secrets are a killer combination in a propulsive novel of suspense by the Amazon Charts bestselling author of Family Money.

After Jake Slater’s wife dies in a tragic hit-and-run, all he has left is his daughter, Piper—nearly lost, too, in a brutal custody battle with his wealthy in-laws. A year later, Jake reluctantly agrees to a reunion with the estranged family for Piper’s thirteenth birthday. Then a single gunshot rings out, and a new nightmare begins.

Piper is kidnapped, and her cousin Caitlin is murdered. Caitlin’s cryptic dying words: Piper knows the truth. Jake is the only witness to the murder—and the only suspect. For an innocent man trapped in a world conspiring to crush him, the only way to clear his name and find Piper is to do it on the run.

Crucified by the media, pursued by the FBI, and hunted by an assassin, Jake can feel his desperation escalating with every tick of the clock. The closer he gets to the truth, the more he risks uncovering family betrayals so sinister they’re worth killing for.

Editorial reviews

From the Publisher

In writing his bestselling and unputdownable novels, Chad Zunker takes inspiration from his own life as a father and husband and conjures the most compelling and complicated situations for his lead characters. He thinks about what he would do, and then ratchets it up another notch or two.

In All He Has Left, Jake Slater is still reeling from the death of his wife and trying to make a new start with his teenage daughter. They return to Austin for her birthday, and all hell breaks loose when his daughter goes missing and a family member is found dead. Jake soon finds himself cornered by the media and police. He is not Liam Neeson in Taken. He doesn’t have a special set of skills or a network of contacts. He’s an ordinary man who will do anything to find his daughter.

But a man with very little to lose is dangerous. And Jake’s daughter is all he has left. —Liz Pearsons, Editor

Chad writes with good description and enough mystery to keep you going chapter to chapter. I have read multiple books that he has written and each time he’s able to keep my interest. I recommend this book.

Great book - Hard to put down

This book starts fast and speeds up from there. Great action sequences involving a father desperate to find his kidnapped daughter.

I usually read a book a chapter or two at a time when the mood strikes me. I had great difficulty putting this book down, doing so only when my old eyes became too blurred to continue.

Highly recommended!!!

Can anyone be that Lucky?

Jake falls down so many times. Can anyone be that clumsy and still lucky enough to Get away time after time? So many moving parts but the author ties it all together in the end and actually had me emotionally.
