In T L Swan’s steamy third installment of the Miles High Club, Kate’s hot new pen pal is a welcome distraction from her horrible boss. But nobody is as distracting as Elliot Miles…and he knows it.

My favorite hobby is infuriating Elliot Miles. Just the sight of my boss’s handsome face triggers my sarcasm. God knows how he earns his Casanova reputation―if a million women want him with his personality, what the heck am I doing wrong?

Disgusted with my love life, I join a dating app under a fake name. I start chatting to a man named Edgar. He’s not my type and lives on the other side of the world, but we hit off a friendship, laugh and confide in each other.

But lately things are getting weird at work. Elliot’s being…attentive. His eyes linger a little longer than they should, and there’s a heat behind them that I haven’t felt before. And then, in the shock of all shocks, he tells me that my vulnerability is appealing. But when was I vulnerable?

Horror dawns…Has my boss been reading my emails to Edgar?

Damn it, why did I use my work email?

Oh no, does he know what I really think of him? I’d rather die than ever admit it.

Or, even worse: is it possible that the man I loathe in real life is the man I’m falling for online?

a good read

Wow! I didn’t expect this book (or any other’s in contemporary romance) to surprise me. We all know there is a basic formula for writing them and not very many do much more besides change the names or add a baby. This one threw me a curve. It still had romance, it still had “bad guys” and it still had a beautiful girl and a rich guy with abs. I love all of those things. But they are best when the author comes up with new and different ideas. I enjoyed all be parts of this and now I’m sorry that I read day and night because now I’m done with it and I don’t want to be. It’s a pretty darn good book. I hope you enjoy it too.

More fun than it had any right to be!!!

After a mildly disappointing book 1 (Jameson's story) and then a surprisingly amazing book 2 (Tristan's story), I didn't know what to expect here and I was kinda scared. I was so so so unexpectedley wildy shocked at how much I enjoyed this. First of all, I'm usually the first one to shout "YOU'RE ADULTS! STOP DANCING AROUND IT AND JUMP INTO BED ALREADY!!!" but this was probably the first romance I've ever read - EVER - where I revelled in the details and the sort of slow burn that was required before I was OK with these two moving their relationship forward.

I talked to Kate throughout. I don't usually conversate with my FMCs. She was a good one, relateable AF, smart, even-headed. Every time she did or said anything and I thought to myself "hold on, girl, don't get ahead of yourself" she would inner monologue all the reasons she needed to think and be rationale and I freaking loved that! Like, author and I were on the same page!

I started out not loving Elliot because he was a hot-head and I still maintain he was fostering a bit of a toxic work environment and also... can someone from the UK tell me if there are reprecussions for workplace relationships?? Especially between a boss and employee?? Because the fact that either of them ever pursued the other was... I kept waiting for some HR-related catastrophe... Side note, ignore it.

ANYWAY, he got better. I mean, I could have taken a bit more of his groveling, maybe one workplace sensitivity training, but, no one's perfect, right?

It started out well, it was low on tropes (like I was waiting for sh!t to hit the fan at a bunch of typical places and it was more realistic in some places and more wildly out of left field in others), it was actually quite unique and unexpected, and it made me laugh A LOT! The frickin' twist was flippin' twisty!! This book was entertaining AF!! I remember in book 2 I was shocked at the multi-dimensionality of the MCs, and that trend continues here. I really want to tell everyone about this book! It was funny, it was dirty, it was well-written... It was great, ya'll!
