I’m kind of a bitch, but you would be too if you had my life.

I was taken as a baby and trained to become an elite member of Troupe Delirium. My time with them is as permanent as the damn collar on my neck. Until Heathcliff helps me escape.

I have nothing but the clothes on my back and the good sense to get as far away as I can. But then I stumble into someone else’s territory and get snagged by a shifter-happy cop who brings me to a pack.

Pack Aberrant. The only shifter pack in the world that would actually be willing to help me. Before I know it, I’m getting attached to an enforcer and I’m fighting for these misfits who somehow thawed my heart.

But I know better. My old master is coming for me, and Heathcliff...I can’t ever really move on without Heathcliff. I guess I won’t really need to, though. There’s no way I’m making it out of this alive.

Author's Note: This is book 3 in the Pack of Misfits series. Every story is a stand-alone, but it is best if you start with Addie's book. Each book will have a different mate dynamic. (M/F, RH, or Menage.) Intended for mature audiences 18 years and older. Expect a take-no-shit female, humor, heat, and plenty of action. This one is a wild ride.

Jetta

Jetta is officially a misfit! I’ve been waiting to read this book since Jetta was introduced in book 1. Jetta is seriously rough around the edges, some would say even a B$&*!completely different from Addie and Reece. She does have redeeming qualities like loyalty, strength, resilience, and a tender spot for the guy she loves.

Jettas story is completely different too. Where I feel like the first two books were Romance, I didn’t feel like this book was. Of course there was romance thrown in, but this book was a whole lot of action & adventure, ups & downs, anger & sadness. We learned a lot about Jettas history with Troupe Delirium and how she was raised.

We do learn about Jettas first love Heathcliff and get to be there for her new Romance with Jericho. Jericho is my homeboy! He’s funny and isn’t easily deterred.

This was a great story and I can’t wait to read more misfits.

Without The Dark There Can Be No Light

First and foremost I absolutely love Raven Kennedy’s writing. The way she paints a story is phenomenal and the humor along the way makes you connect with her books and cheer on the characters she’s created the whole way.

I was pulled in by Jetta’s story, the heart breaking moments she’s had to endure in her life are ones most of us can relate to and because of that you feel like you can understand the choices and internal struggles she has to face throughout her story.

Sadly, I was disappointed that the humor was there, but definitely not on the level that I know Raven is capable of and that keeps her readers so enthralled in her writings. It takes immense talent to be able to capture a reader in your story but to add unique humor along the way is another feat in itself.

I was originally going to subtract a star for this but I honestly just CAN’T. And the reason being is because this story is so flawlessly constructed. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. When you read between the lines you can clearly see that it was intentionally written so that the anguish, self doubt, internal struggles, and the hesitancy to trust, hell the hesitancy to really even LIVE that Jetta faced could be seen and even felt in the very fiber of the readers hearts and souls. This in turn goes even farther than Jetta’s story alone and gives a valuable perspective readers should have on the Pack of Misfits world as a whole.

Because of course in life you can’t have the light, without the dark.

You guessed it, another 5 star review for one of my all time favorite series. I love the misfit crew, this pack is like nothing I've read before, close, but unique in a way that it's one of the best pack books out there. I've read books with a shifter falling for another, but not an entire pack where no to animal shifter is the same, you literally have a sloth, tiger, duck, hog, skunk, pack rat, you get my drift, and this isn't even half the lot! It's so amazing, each and every story! And each love dynamic. I loved jettas, it was darker, but we all knew it would be, and finding out about heathcliff, my heart hurt and rejoiced when it was all said and done. Jetta deserved her happy ending, and Jericho! I loved him so much, although we didn't get to see cliff as much as Jericho, we understand the difference between the two, two sides soft and hard, and I'm all for the hard. And yet, I understood and appreciated her needed that soft, it was beautifully written and I can't wait for the next book in the series. If I'm truly honest, I got a itch to scratch with igor and the alpha, lol. It's killing me to find out what kinda mates these two hard men get!

The best one so far!

I’m a huge Raven Kennedy fan, there are only a few of her books I have not read, and I am just now getting around to reviewing them. I have not been big on reviewing authors, and then I looked back at my profile and saw I have mostly negative reviews and that’s not really how I am. So I decided to go to my favorite books that I read in 2021 and leave positive reviews for them. I’m starting with this one since I just finished it. Raven Kennedy has some of the most fleshed out characters, and cohesive storylines I have encountered. Keep in mind my Kindle says I read 396 books in 2021, and that’s not including my college text books and physical copy books, so clearly I’m a reader. Jetta is my favorite character so far in this series, because she is so broken when we meet her, and despite everything she has been through she still fights. Yes, she’s a prickly pear, but it’s not without reason, and that’s just her front, to protect herself from the pain she expects from everyone around her. While I laughed more with the first two books, I couldn’t help but to connect deeply with Jetta, and I felt her story was more impactful for me, because I understand where she is coming from. While my story is no where near as dramatic as Jetta’s is, I can connect with her character more so than some others. This is not a lighthearted book, but it will grab you from the beginning and hold on to you tightly for the whole ride. By the end, you’ll feel like Jetta and Heathcliff have more than earned their happiness. I also have to say how much I adored Freddie (Spawn) and he was the perfect bridge to show how despite her gruffness she really does have a heart, and is just as caring and protective as the other members of pack Aberrant.
