Los Angeles Times Book Prize

The Los Angeles Times Book Prize is an esteemed literary award presented annually to recognize outstanding literary works across various genres. Established in 1980 by the Los Angeles Times, the prize aims to honor exceptional authors and books that have made significant contributions to literature. The awards are presented in conjunction with the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books, one of the largest literary festivals in the United States. The Los Angeles Times Book Prize currently has nine categories: biography, current interest, fiction, first fiction, history, mystery/thriller, poetry, science and technology, and young adult fiction.
