Sheer Cupidity: A Standalone Cupidity Romance (Heart Hassle)

This book was so amazing! Every book I pick up from Raven Kennedy just blows my mind.

I came into the Hassle Heart series just a few months ago so I didn't have to wait as long as some of the other fans but the wait was still ruff. I needed to know what happened to Belren.

This series always makes me laugh and this one was no exception.

Now to the parts I loved about the book. I love that you have a cupid like Lex who is totally the nerdy girl and totally owns it. She is amazing and brilliant and just all around amazing. Then we have Belren who is your drop dead gorgeous thief...or the jock I guess we can call him, and I love that he finds Lex so gorgeous and amazing for who she is.

Sheer Cupidity was totally worth the wait for me. It had me laughing crying and all the other crazy emotions. It is definitely one of my new favorite and I will definitely be reading it for more valentines days to come

What a clever and wonderful love story. I was rooting for them the whole time. I laughed, cried, and cheered. So well done. This can be read as a standalone, but I don't think you'd have the same emotional connection to the characters. So, I'd read it after books 1-4. *This book is rated a mild R. The F word is used more than once, and there are on page, detailed spice scenes. There is almost zero violence. No blood or gore.

Belren & Lex are…everything oh my goodness. They’re such a fun balance. It’s not really grumpy x sunshine. Lex is serious & professional but she’s also optimistic and romantic. Belren is a risk-taker and go with the flow but he’s also the pessimistic and slightly jaded one between the two. It creates a very interesting dynamic that I guess only a cupid and ghost could anyway.

If you’re reading this BEFORE you start the book, just know, grab some freaking tissues. I can’t tell you have any times I sobbed. She really goes in hot on this one lol, starting the story at the same place that Belren’s life ended. From there, we experience a tangle of emotions between him & Lex—despair, grief, heartbreak, guilt. But once they find each other again…there are so many moments of falling in love and sweet words and comforting gestures.

I don’t know if cernu fae have mates and the word is never used between them (plus, mate matches happen in a variety of ways in this world and aren’t always fated) but I have to (want to?) believe that Belren & Lex are in fact mates. Nothing else makes sense with their beautiful story and chemistry.

Of course Emelle, her covey and Sev never disappointed. Not once. Emelle is also the sweetest & most forgiving cupid ever 🥹 I’m so happy we got a jerkahf and raziel cameo hahah. & Amorette is most definitely Ronak’s. She has to be.

Oh my horns and wings! I love, love, love this book. It's a hilarious fantasy and a paranormal romance. I've been waiting for years for Belren's book. It was worth the wait. I'm so glad that I have read the other books in the Cupidity universe, because while this could be a stand alone, there are a lot of people who were in previous books making appearances. My only complaint is that I cried. Some parts are really sad, and some are super sweet. So, keep a box of tissues at hand while reading.

Anyone who read the epilogue at the end of Emelle's series got a peek at Belren's afterlife. Like I said above, it's been a long wait to see where his story goes. I think it's a little obvious what direction this love story takes, but there is a BIG twist. I am so not complaining, because I have always adored ghostly romance. I also am thrilled by having cameos and brief interactions with several characters from those other books. Will there be more Cupid books? I hope so!

It's awesome how many loose ends from the original Cupidity books are tied up!
