Crimes of Cupidity: A Fantasy Reverse Harem Story (Heart Hassle)

4.5 out of 5

6,097 global ratings

Love really is the greatest thing you can ever have. Trust me. I'm a cupid.

What do you get when you have four mates, one psychotic prince, a horde of rebels, and a cupid who just got yanked out of the realm?

A big freaking problem, that’s what.

I was supposed to take on my first real mission as a spy. I was supposed to go find my missing mate and discover who our real allies are for the war that’s brewing in the fae realm.

Instead, I’m thrown back to where I was first created. Cupidville. And judging by the look I’m getting from the Head of all Cupidity and the big Terminate button that he's holding, this problem is about to get much worse.

The thing is, I’m more of a lover than a fighter, but when it has to do with staying with my mates, this cupid might just cut a bitch. I’ve waited my entire existence to find love, and now that I have it, I’m not going to give it up without a fight.

Author's Note: This is a slow-burn why choose fae fantasy romcom, where the FMC will end up with multiple mates. It includes explicit language and sexual situations. Intended for audiences 18 years and older. This series is complete.

This series has been so fun and cute. This one was the most serious out of the first three but it had soooo many good and funny moments! I never want it to end.

Book 3 of the Heart Hassle series was just as good as 1 & 2. Several of the plots tied up nicely leaving me very curious as to where Book 4 will go.

There were more serious moments in this installment but still plenty of levity that had me giggling out loud sometimes.

The world building and fae in this series are unbelievable. There’s a whole universe and so many different species to learn about. Raven Kennedy has outdone herself.

I kind of don’t have words right now if I’m being honest.

I’m so sad that the (main) series is even, even though I am SO EXCITED for Lex & Belren’s book & the novella. I genuinely enjoyed how much of the series was about Emelle & her journey, how much of the books were heavily plot driven & her friendships along the way (her and Belren are hilarious & my favorite duo, but Lex & Sev are amazing in their own rights too!)

I’ll be honest—usually when I finish a why-choose book, I have a favorite of the MMCs but I truly cannot choose between Ronak, Okot, Evert & Sylred. They are all so different, and compliment not only each other but also Emelle so perfectly. Plus, girly was incorporeal for like 50 years while spreading love & sex while getting none for herself. If anyone deserves four mates, it’s her.

There were so many parts that hurt my heart & I could feel Emelle’s grief/despair/confusion. But Raven Kennedy’s writing always seems to have a way of really connecting to me, so of course this was no different.

Of course I’ll immediately be jumping into the novella & spinoff novel, then I’ll spend a week crying that I binged the crap out of such an amazing series.

I read the 3 books back to back. While this isnt a review for book 4, the Emelle novella, I am skipping that because it is all pregnant stuff which grosses me out. #3 came to a satisfactory conclusion, so I am comfortable skipping the novella. Not a spoiler because if you are at book 3, you know that is where a "happily ever after" goes. And it is in first page. Maybe will take another peek.

Anyway, it was a decent series. Kept my interest and surprisingly hard to put down. Not an amazing piece of literature, but it was entertaining. Not stressful. Bad stuff happens quick, but also resolves quickly. I like the hot smut, the dirty talk, and the characters grew on me. I thought some of the commentary exchanges were quite funny from start to finish. Book 3 was probably the best in terms of comedy. I laughed out loud often.

I really like the Belren character. Glad to know that one gets a one book spin off. I will read that soon

So 5 stars. Rating a book can be a challenge. It isnt 5 stars compared to distinguished works of literature. it is simply whether I liked it or not. Since I gobbled all 3 books, and intend to read #5, and because I liked it best of the 3 (just was funny), I am going with 5 stars. Why not?

A great ending to the main series of Heart Hassle. I absolutely loved this book and felt that it did an excellent job of balancing so many scenarios. It had it's great romance, Usual humor and hilarious new humor, touching moments, devastating moments, shocking twists, and heart pumping excitement. My only complaint was a certain character who kept causing such pain and devastation throughout the series, yet never receives the consequences of their actions, but in the end they're given a flimsy excuse. Its infuriating. Overall, a great series and one I would recommend.

Having been dragged before the Cupid board, Emelle finds herself dealing with some new powers… and on the hunt for her mates. All is not well in the fae lands, however, and it’s not long before Emelle finds herself dealing with a lot more trouble than she bargained for.

This book completes the original Cupidity trilogy, and places Emelle right back in a face-off with the Fae Prince who started it all. We’re introduced to a few new, and interesting characters, even as we see a number of old favourites. Like its partners, this is a funny book, where some of Emelle’s silly situations may just make you laugh out loud. The babbling Cupid scenes are some of my favourites, in this enjoyable, and fun book. Since it’s not a standalone, I do highly recommend reading the first two books in the series, and yes, this one has a very satisfying HEA in case you need to know. It’s a lighthearted read for the RH romantasy enthusiast, and Cupid lovers in general.

cried a little

3.5 for me. I almost wanna mark it average three stars but this trilogy kinda went through a lot with the first book that I made it four.

I almost dropped this because of the many bad reviews for the first book saying it was a blatant rip-off of Four Psychos. And I wasn’t on either side of the fence considering it had similar bullet points but not so much that it’d be blatant. It’s like saying Kenyon and Clare wrote the exact same books. Same concept, but different stories that hold up on their own. But back to the book.

This came a long way. I loved what the author made with cupids and the different realms. The humor was sometimes super cheesy and over the top but it’s basically the humor. So you love it or leave it. I enjoyed myself overall and I love her four guys. I love that the author pays special attention to the guys at particular points, makes them seem even more special. Makes me fuzzy. I cried a few times haha

Some shocking surprises but there are two other books after this so I’m not too worried. Recommended if you were a fan of Four Psychos lol

chaos and stupidity… I mean cupidity…

3.0 / 5.0 this series stared so promising and just declined from there. The writing is chaotic and the plot is a complete mess. It resolves itself and the smut scenes are good but not so good that the rest of this mess can be excused. Will you keep reading because the WTF factor is intense, probably, but it’s not pretty and I’m glad to be done with it.
